Don’t Look Now, but You Youth Camp is Closer Than You Think

We’re past the midway point of May now, and the school year is wrapping up. Graduation ceremonies are here. Carnivals are about to come and pass. Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner. We’re still playing hockey…ok, that one isn’t quite as expected, but we’ll take. The point is, teachers and coaches are about to be able to breathe a sigh of relief; their work is done for the next few months. Except, nope; it isn’t.

Over the summer months, many teachers are part of education youth camps through their school. Science camps, math camps, writing camps; there are so many amazing activities that teachers and administrators provide to students to keep them learning during the summer months. Learning never stops, and teachers never stop.

Likewise, coaches often hold summer training camps for their teams. What football player doesn’t cringe at least a little bit remembering two-a-days? Then again, what football player doesn’t remember the glory they captured because of two-a-days? Summer athletic camps are also a great way to introduce the younger kids in the community to the athletic programs. Many schools hold youth camps put on by the high school coaches with players helping to team younger kids the basics and get them excited for when they get to join the team.
